Annual CARD Conference and Pre-Conference Day!

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities is funded by the state of Florida as a nonresidential resource and training center for people of any age with autism and related disabilities. CARD is located at the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University, Florida Atlantic University, University of South Florida, University of Florida (Gainesville and Jacksonville), Florida State University, and the University of Central Florida. Activities of the centers include consultation and individualized support, dissemination of information, professional training, and public awareness.

The annual CARD conference offers keynote presentations and sessions by leaders in the field of autism and related disabilities. It provides an excellent opportunity for education and information sharing. It is also a celebration of years of service and support to individuals with autism and related disabilities, their families, and professionals.

Pre-Conference Day for Educators

The Pre-conference Day for Educators offers an opportunity to learn new concepts and creative classroom applications while also learning from other colleagues. This day is specifically designed to provide educators with information about innovative and effective classroom practices. We invite you to this important staff development opportunity where you will experience:

  • Keynote(s) by nationally recognized experts in autism
  • Breakout sessions that highlight effective practices in Florida
  • Poster displays that highlight the work of teachers within the partnership program
